As many of the network shows go into reruns, many cable channels enjoy all new fare, including the premiere of Da Vinci's Demons on Starz, the series finale of all things Spartacus, and the season three finale of Syfy's Being Human.
Starz's Spartacus is many things. It's a gripping violent drama with sweeping historical and political scope; it has sex aplenty (and equal opportunity nudity, thank you very much); but most of all, it has a lot of bloody and gory killings where the blood flows and flows and, well, flows.
Todd Lasance may be one of the brand new names of the upcoming third season of Spartacus titled War of the Damned but the relatively unknown actor (at least here) will be playing the major historical figure of Gaius Julius Caesar.
It didn't seem possible that the final season of Starz's action-packed Spartacus could get any bloodier. But, judging by the latest trailer for the final season, the red stuff will be flowing by the bucket-load.
Spartacus (Liam McIntyre) may be the star of the show and the main leader of the rebels (alongside Manu Bennett's Crixus and Dan Feuerriegel's Agron), but the more playful Gannicus (Dustin Clare) is the character that most resonates with many fans. So, how about a bloody, sexy new video that shows what our loin-clothed boy will be up to in Spartacus: War of the Damned?
Spartacus: War of the Damned is coming and we've got an exciting new trailer to share with you as well as two new videos featuring season three's new fascinating villains (including Julius Caesar and the until now elusive Marcus Crassus) and our not-so-merry band of rebels still resisting again and again Rome's long shadow.
The stars of Spartacus: War of the Damned are on the move. For their final season, the slaves-turned-warriors are hitting the road. That means new locations, new sets and more conflicts for Spartacus and company.
It's sad to think the upcoming season of Starz action drama Spartacus will be the series' last—but knowing there's nowhere to go but out—you'd have to think the creators will leave nothing on the table when wrapping up the bloody, awesome run. Judging by some new footage from the final season, War of the Damned, that definitely seems to be the case.
Next year, Starz's hit gladiator series Spartacus will fight its last battle with a third and final season subtitled War of the Damned. This show's never been exactly subtle about the sword-swinging mayhem it delivers, but from the looks of this bloody badass new trailer, the third season's set to be the most intense.
