If we know anything about Captain Jack Sparrow, we know he gets into a lot of scrapes, but always lands on his feet. And now that Disney has released the teaser trailer for LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game, we get to see it in full-on LEGO goodness.
If you thought that Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3 had too much going on (and were a wee-bit confusing) and that the first one was the best of the lot, well, you're not alone: Even Captain Jack Sparrow himself, actor Johnny Depp, thinks so. But he promises that the fourth entry in the series, On Stranger Tides, won't make the same mistake.
When we last saw Capt. Jack Sparrow in At World's End, he was (and we hope we're not spoiling things here—after all, it's been three frakkin' years!) adrift in a dingy, with good rum, wind in his sails and the important part of a treasure map. We figured Capt. Jack was off for more high adventures, but what they were or whether we'd ever get to see them, we had no idea. Now we do.
We've all heard the stories of how Disney execs were worried by Johnny Depp's performance in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie—that they felt his mumbling, Keith Richards-inspired delivery wouldn't be accepted by audiences. It turns out that was the least of Disney's worries about Capt. Jack Sparrow.
