After word broke that Disney has purchased LucasFilm—with plans to start cranking out Star Wars films on a regular basis—it seems like everyone has something snarky to say about the move. But what about a few of the original stars?
Most Star Wars fans will say that it's about bloody darn time that Han Solo's (Harrison Ford) best friend, co-pilot, and ever-faithful-sidekick Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) is finally getting his very own movie. (Well ... sorta.)
The Black List, an annual grouping of the most-liked unproduced screenplays in Hollywood, is out this week, and that means it's time for the scripts at the top of the list to get a publicity bump and a chance at new life. Lots of promising scripts made the cut, but the most intriguing of the 73 by far is a new comedy about the making of Star Wars told through the eyes of Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew.
