The Hobbit is absolutely our most anticipated movie of 2012. It's based on one of the best fantasy books ever written, directed by Peter Jackson and has Ian McKellan and Cate Blanchett reprising their roles from Lord of the Rings. We've been imagining a near-perfect movie...but now it just got better than that.

Watching all three Lord of the Rings movies in one sitting is a testament to fan devotion and an ability to sit: the extended versions clock in at 682 minutes of run time—over 11 hours worth of hobbits, elves and men on a quest to poke out the disembodied eye of Sauron.
