We've yet to receive an official confirmation from J.J. Abrams that Khan Noonien Singh is indeed his upcoming Star Trek sequel's main villain, despite persistent rumors that he is. Even Scotty himself, actor Simon Pegg, seems to know nothing about it. And he's read the script.

JJ Abrams isn't wasting any time: now that Benicio Del Toro won't play the villain in Star Trek 2, the director has reportedly already lined up another choice.

Bad news is: Benicio Del Toro (The Wolfman) is out of the running as Star Trek's next villain. Good news is: Khan Noonien Singh will be the Big Baddie Capt. James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and the crew of the USS Enterprise will face in J.J. Abrams' upcoming Trek sequel.
