The first footage from the new animated adaptation of Frank Miller's Batman: The Dark Knight Returns has been released, and even a few of Gotham's finest are glad to see the Caped Crusader is back on the case.

Warner Bros. Animation is swinging for the fences and turning Frank Miller's landmark graphic novel, The Dark Knight Returns, into not one, but two animated movies. And to play the aged—but not obsolete—Bruce Wayne, they've scored one of science fiction's most beloved actors.
