Merle sacrificed himself to try and protect his little brother, but the fan favorite character died at the hand of the Governor. You have to think that makes the fight more than personal for Daryl, and we’d love to see him use that crossbow to do some damage of his own.
Make some progress on the “Is Rick Crazy?” storyline
The writers have been beating around the bush with Rick’s sanity for most of the season, and though he’s made some progress, he’s still hallucinating. It’s an interesting storyline, but it’s starting to wear a little thin. Let’s see him either go off the deep end, or get back on the rails a little bit more.
Kill her. Free her. Just do something. It’s been interesting to watch her try (and fail spectacularly) to be a peacemaker, but let the lady pick a side and truly get in on the action. She’s a strong character in the comics, and we’d love to see her get back to being a major player in the action.
Tyrese has been kicking around both camps for a while now, but the writers haven’t done a whole lot with him to this point. He’s one of the best characters in the comics, and we’d love to see him evolve into that strong character in the series.
Aside from that tense summit between the two at a neutral location, and the brief firefight a few weeks ago, we haven’t seen the two leaders go mano-a-mano yet. Please give us the ass-kicking fist fight we’ve been waiting for.
The show has made a habit of axing regulars on a regular basis, and with the battle coming, we’re expecting some true repercussions in that final hour. We lost Merle last week in a shocking twist, and we expect a few more bodies to hit the ground (and reanimate) before this is all over.
The focus on the war with Woodbury has been fun, but let’s not forget about the undead threat out there. We want to see the big battle as much as anyone, but lets keep the zombies as a solid part of the proceedings. They’re the lingering threat, but they’ve been relegated to lingering a little bit too much lately.
