WE LOVED: The Mist going for that super dark, awesome ending
The recent film version of Stephen King’s freaky story of a town engulfed in a mysterious mist made a major change to the ending — and it made the story so much better. In the book, a group of survivors drive off toward a signal in hopes of finding help. It’s open-ended, and works well enough. But, in the film, the survivors take off but eventually run out of hope and decide to kill one another before being killed by the creatures in the mist. But, just as the last survivor is about to pull the trigger, help arrives — after his family is already dead. It’s dark, brutal and a great fit for the tone of the story.
