Only a year after debuting its high end action figure Legacy line, Firefly earns a spot in Funko's collection with five figures including Captain Malcolm Reynolds, Jayne Cobb, Kaylee Frye, Hoban and Zoe Washburne. Each are sculpted from the scans of the actors and come with character appropriate accessories. The whole line drops in May 2015 and pirces at $19.99 each.
Expanding their prop replica line into the Firefly 'verse, Quantum Mechanix is working on reproducing a high quality knit version of Jayne's signature hat based on the original created for the show. Available in 2015 (assuming you haven't already bought a fan-made version on Etsy).
Next in line for the Quantum Mechanix Firefly 1:6 Master Series statue line post-Malcolm Reynolds will be Kaylee Frye looking as adorable as ever in her mechanic's coveralls and charming umbrella. Cast in solid polystone, the statue will be a limited edition with pre-ordering available at the QMX website later in 2015.
After selling out their stylized Firefly maquette line, Quantum Mechanix is launching a brand new Mini Masters line that will feature the main cast in animation style action poses. Not photorealistic, but still close to the actual actor's likenesses, the figures are still in prototype phase with a late 2015 target for sales. Featured here are Inara Serra and Dr. Simon Tam.
