Game of Thrones' Michael McElhatton confirmed for Justice League

Nobody livens up joyous nuptial celebration more than Roose Bolton, whose horrifying gift to the bride and groom during the Red Wedding on Game of Thrones was a shocking, ignoble death. Of course what goes around comes around, as evidenced by his being on the wrong end of his bastard son Ramsay's sharp knife last season.

Irish actor Michael McElhatton portrayed the traitorous Lord of the Dreadfort in HBO's medieval fantasy series and will next be seen in Zack Snyder's Justice League this fall, adding his trademark intensity, charisma and menace to the superhero extravaganza.

McElhatton confirmed his involvement in Justice League during a new interview with Red Carpet TV, where he chatted about his attachment to the project without naming his exact character, and commenting briefly about the sunnier tone of the sequel compared to the gloomy Batman v Superman:

It’s a big, kind of, opening scene, which was pretty dark, actually, in its tone. But in a good way. I quite like that, and it wasn’t comic book-y. But I think you can thread a certain amount of humor through it, which maybe the first one was lacking. There’s going to be a lot more humor in it. I think would probably be the main difference compared to the previous one.

Snyder's comic book spectacle will only shine brighter with an actor of McElhatton's caliber added and we'll be watching closely for him. He'll join fellow Thrones performers Ciarán Hinds (Mance Rayder) as villain Steppenwolf and Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) as Aquaman for a mini Westeros reunion of sorts.

Any ideas on which character McElhatton will play and will you be there for this boisterous opening battle sequence between the forces of Apokolips when Justice League lands on November 17?
