See Izabella's origin and a playful Grimlock in new clips from Transformers: The Last Knight

Saturday night's Kids' Choice Awards on Nickelodeon offered a wealth of new footage and trailers for geek fans, delivering new Wonder Woman and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 promos ... and this new clip and preview for Michael Bay's Transformers: The Last Knight.

This first clip centers around Isabela Moner's Izabella, a feisty orphaned youngster fleeing from an aggressive urban pacification robot, finding safe harbor in a humongous pile of junk that isn't exactly what it appears to be. Her character gives younger viewers an easy access point into this sequel to Transformers: Age of Extinction, which seems like it's trying to cover every marketing base imaginable.

A second promo showcases more of Izabella's origin story as a survivor of the Battle of Chicago and links her to Mark Wahlberg's Cade Yeager. We also get a peek at some adorable baby dinobots, her alliance with the cigar-chomping commando Hound, the comical new Autobot Squeeks and a funny scene with a playful Grimlock in the junkyard getting caught red-handed with a car in his mouth.

Here's Paramount's official synopsis:

The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock). There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.

Transformers: The Last Knight opens on June 23.
