With the DCEU in desperate need of a critical hit, Wonder Woman continues to hang out there, encapsulating our greatest hopes and desires for it to, well, not suck. If nothing else, the latest poster certainly inspires confidence.
The latest one-sheet for the DC Comics flick finds Diana kneeling with her sword in hand on what appears to be a beach engulfed by a gorgeous sunset. It looks pretty great ... just like the trailers and pretty much everything else we've seen from the film. But, after Suicide Squad, it's going to be a whole lot harder to fool us with a splashy marketing campaign. Just sayin'.
Director Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman film stars Gal Gadot in the title role, reprising the character she introduced to big-screen live action in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The film is the origin story of Wonder Woman’s superhero career, and early buzz has been cautiously optimistic. Initial screening reports were solid, with many indicating Chris Pine's portrayal of Steve Trevor is a highlight.
