To feed our ravenous appetite for any morsel of news or images for Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi, here's the first official shot of Poe, Rey and Finn from the new film featured on a new Disney packaging mock-up.
Rey is prominently displayed across the box, armed with a lightsaber and centered between the heroic X-wing pilot and the resilient ex-stormtrooper, emblazoned with the new logo and colors to help announce Star Wars Force Friday II on September 1.
The debut event in 2015 to celebrate the arrival of J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens was an unrivaled success and had fans scrambling madly for any of the tie-in clothes, action figures, toys and playsets.
"The first Star Wars Force Friday event was truly unique, uniting fans across five continents in an unprecedented global live unboxing event ahead of thousands of midnight openings at retail," said Jimmy Pitaro, chairman of Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media. "We're excited to confirm that Star Wars Force Friday is back for The Last Jedi. Plans for this year's worldwide event are top secret, but expect something befitting the excitement around the next episode of the Star Wars saga."
