It’s been a great year for original Netflix programming so far, with Season 2 of Daredevil and Stranger Things (which just got a Season 2 renewal) getting the fans buzzing with excitement. Coming up this month is the eagerly anticipated Marvel’s Luke Cage series and a new dystopian sci-fi movie titled ARQ. You can watch the first trailer and have a look at the poster below.
Starring Robbie Amell (The Flash) and Rachael Taylor (Jessica Jones), ARQ is written and directed by Tony Elliott (Orphan Black). It’s also an official selection of the 2016 Toronto Film Festival. Not bad, eh? The movie, premiering on the streaming service on Sept. 16, is a bit of a sci-fi Groundhog Day which features people trying to get out a mysterious time loop that’s forcing them to relive a deadly home invasion over and over and over again. Check it out:
Here's the official synopsis:
In a dystopian future, an engineer trapped in a house and surrounded by a mysterious gang of masked intruders must protect a technology that could deliver unlimited energy and end the wars that have consumed the world.
