Embark on an epic sea voyage with new international Moana trailer and TV spot

The House of Mouse has released a new international trailer and a cool TV spot for their new animated movie, Moana.

You have to speak Portuguese (at least, I think it is Portuguese since the trailer comes from Walt Disney Studios BR) to understand what’s being said but even if you don’t, some of the scenes in the trailer pretty much speak for themselves. What’s also cool about that trailer is that we have some snippets of new footage. Also, how cute is Moana’s pet pig Pua?

Moana stars Auli’i Cravalho as the movie’s titular heroine, who joins forces with her hero, the legendary shape-shifting demi-god Maui (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson), in order to seek out a fabled island in the South Pacific. During their sea voyage, they will encounter enormous sea creatures, amazing underworlds and come across ancient folklore.

Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Princess and the Frog), Moana also features the voice acting talents of Alan Tudyk, Nicole Scherzinger, Temuera Morrison and Jemaine Clement.

Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one knows why. From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.

Moana will open in movie theaters on Nov. 23.
