Begin the journey with Marvel's Doctor Strange in new featurette and TV spot

When Doctor Strange premieres on the big screen this coming November, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be introduced to a world of magic, mystical powers, and trippy new dimensions.

That is, if we chose to ignore the fact that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will steal a little bit of the Sorcerer Supreme’s thunder by introducing the “strange and unexplained” to the small screen first with the fiery arrival of Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna). But I digress.

Marvel has released a brand-new video featurette asking "Who is Marvel's Doctor Strange?" and featuring interviews with Benedict Cumberbatch (Stephen Strange), Tilda Swinton (the Ancient One), Rachel McAdams (Christine Palmer), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Baron Karl Mordo) and Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige. Along with the interviews, we can also see some exciting new footage highlighting Doctor Strange's powers.

An international TV spot has also made its way online in which we see Marco Polo star Benedict Wong as Wong. Check it out, and let us know what you think.

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilising a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.

Directed by Scott Derrikson (Sinister), Doctor Strange also stars Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius, Michael Stuhlbarg as Nicodemus West and Benjamin Bratt. The movie opens on Nov. 4.
