Check out the devilish new footage for the new seasons of Fox’s Gotham and Lucifer

Fox has released some new footage for the hotly anticipated new seasons of Gotham and Lucifer.

Season 3 of Fox’s pre-Batman series, Gotham, will see Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), now a bounty hunter, hell-bent on finding Dr. Hugo Strange (BD Wong) while Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) slowly cultivates his playboy persona. Oh, and it’s gonna be war again between Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith). Should be good! New characters include an adult Poison Ivy (Maggie Geha), the Mad Hatter (Benedict Samuel) and the Tweed Brothers. Also: The Court of Owls!

As for Lucifer, the Mother from Hell (like, literally) is coming in the comic book series’ second season, and she's played by Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer. One thing for sure, things are gonna get heated (pun intended) for Tom Ellis’ original bad boy, Lucifer Morningstar. Especially with mom around.

Check out the cool one-minute promo below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the return of Gotham and Lucifer on your TV screen in the fall.

Check out the official synopsis for Season 2 of Gotham:

GOTHAM (Mondays, 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) The origin story continues on Season Three of GOTHAM, and the stakes are higher than ever, as Super-Villains more ambitious and depraved are introduced, and a realignment of alliances shakes up the fight for power in Gotham City.

Season Three will peel back the curtain on the infamous criminal organization known as the Court of The Owls. With the Indian Hill escapees on the loose, JIM GORDON (Ben McKenzie) must take matters into his own hands as a bounty hunter in Gotham. He makes it his mission to find HUGO STRANGE (guest star BD Wong), the mastermind behind the horrifying Indian Hill experiments, and FISH MOONEY (guest star Jada Pinkett Smith), one of Strange’s subjects. Meanwhile, GCPD Detective HARVEY BULLOCK (Donal Logue) and Captain NATHANIEL BARNES (Michael Chiklis) remain at the forefront of the fight against crime in the monster-ridden city. Also, BRUCE WAYNE (David Mazouz), with the help of his trusted butler and mentor, ALFRED PENNYWORTH (Sean Pertwee), and former Wayne Enterprises employee, LUCIUS FOX (Chris Chalk), discovers there are still more secrets to uncover regarding his parents’ murders.

As the city sinks deeper into chaos, GOTHAM will continue to follow the evolving stories of the city’s most malevolent villains: THE PENGUIN (Robin Lord Taylor); EDWARD NYGMA/the future RIDDLER (Cory Michael Smith); SELINA KYLE/the future CATWOMAN (Camren Bicondova); BARBARA KEAN (Erin Richards), TABITHA GALAVAN/TIGRESS (Jessica Lucas) and BUTCH GILZEAN (Drew Powell). The series also will catch up with the future POISON IVY (Maggie Geha), who, after an encounter with a monster from Indian Hill, finds herself reborn as a young woman who’s harnessed the full power of her charms; and will dive into the origin stories of JERVIS TETCH/MAD HATTER (Benedict Samuel), a talented hypnotist teetering on the edge of madness; and the TWEED BROTHERS.

And here's the synopsis for the second season of Lucifer:

In Season Two, LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR (Tom Ellis) and his brother, AMENADIEL (DB Woodside), who have been sparring over Lucifer’s resistance to returning to the underworld, will now be brought back together for one common goal – to find their mother, CHARLOTTE (Tricia Helfer, “Battlestar Galactica”), who escaped Hell. After all, Lucifer doesn’t take after his dad, so the parent he does resemble is sure to be quite terrifying. Lucifer’s work with the LAPD also is upended when the police force hires ELLA LOPEZ (Aimee Garcia “The George Lopez Show”), a smart, tough forensic scientist whose mutual belief in both faith and science proves a point of interest to Lucifer.

With mom on the loose, DR. LINDA MARTIN (Rachael Harris), who has become not only a therapist, but also a confidante to Lucifer, will surely have a lot of advice to dole out. And, by the time she’s done with them, she may need a therapist of her own.

Both Gotham and Lucifer will premiere on Sept. 19, starting at 8:00 p.m. on Fox.
