As the series migrates to The CW, Supergirl is making a few changes to the cast. One of the most notable additions? Wonder Woman herself, Lynda Carter.
With production well underway, Melissa Benoist posted a photo from the set, offering fans a first look at Carter’s character. Carter is set to play the president of the United States, and judging by the shot here, she certainly has the gravitas to pull it off. So if you’re looking for a write-in option this fall … you could do far worse than Wonder Woman.
Along with the addition of Carter to the cast, the new season also brings Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) in a guest-starring role as Superman, Chris Wood (Containment) as Mon-El, Katie McGrath (Merlin) as Lena Luthor, Ian Gomez (Cougar Town) as Kara’s new supervisor Snapper Carr and Floriana Lima (The Family) as Science Crimes captain Maggie Sawyer.
Season 2 of Supergirl premieres Oct. 10 on The CW.
