Buffy and Angel alum Charisma Carpenter cast in a 'smoking hot' role on Lucifer

After Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer, now comes word that the second season of Lucifer has added a Buffy and Angel alum to the cast.

Things are going to get hot when the Fox TV show returns for a hotly (pun intended) anticipated new season in the fall. Charisma Carpenter has scored a guest-starring stint on Season 2 of Lucifer, starring Tom Ellis as everyone’s favorite bad boy (and the former Ruler of Hell), Lucifer Morningstar.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Carpenter will play Jamie Lee Adrienne, “a smoking hot former Playmate with a lot of party years on her. Jamie is married to a once-successful action star. Her tone suggests genuine sadness and pain, but she’s likely hiding something.”  She’ll appear in the fifth episode.

Carpenter previously teased her involvement in the comic book series (it’s loosely based on the Lucifer DC/Vertigo comics) with this particular shot from set.

Along with Helfer, who is joining the cast as Lucifer’s original mom from hell, Charlotte, Lucifer is also adding Michael Imperioli in the role of Lucifer and Amenadiel’s (D.B. Woodside) brother, the angel Uriel.

Are you looking forward to seeing Charisma Carpenter on Lucifer this season? The show returns on Sept. 19.
