A report over at Mashable now claims that sources have confirmed that yes, Momoa is in talks to play the iconic role and that they’ve figured out a way to work the movie around the actor’s Aquaman filming duties.

The Crow follows the story of Eric Draven, who is brought back from the dead by a mystical crow and sets out to avenge his fiancée’s murder. Previously attached to star in the movie were Luke Evans and Jack Huston, who both left the project.

Ed Pessman, who was the original producer on the movie, is among the producers for the reboot, and the movie is expected to be released before director James Wan’s Aquaman makes waves in movie theaters on July 27, 2018. Momoa is currently filming director Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
