Though most of the undead attention is on The Walking Dead’s pending Negan murder mystery, AMC’s other zombie show is also coming back to the air next month. Want a peek?
The network has dropped a new trailer for the back half of Fear the Walking Dead’s second season, which shows where all the disparate threads from the year’s first half will be picking up. We get to see some of what happens to Nick after he goes rogue and sets off on his own, as he runs afoul of road gangs and other groups. The rest of the group is searching for shelter, and stumble upon a large hotel that had apparently been well fortified before the apocalypse began
We also get a peek at Travis and Chris, who set out on their own at the midseason break. The footage also shows off more zombies in Mexico, and it seems at least some of the narrative will still be set in that part of the world. The action is set to a sweet cut of The Kinks’ “I’m Not Like Everybody Else,” which could just be the best thing about the trailer.
Fear the Walking Dead returns to AMC on Sunday, Aug. 21.
