The Conjuring 2 makes possession terrifying again with 6 new clips and BTS footage

Ahead of the movie’s release this coming Friday, Warner Bros. has unleashed a bunch of new clips and some cool B-roll footage for The Conjuring 2.

The movie helmed by future Aquaman director James Wan sees the return on real-life paranormal investigators (and demonologists) Ed and Lorraine Warren -- played by Patrick Wilson (Insidious) and Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel) -- in this sequel to 2013’s The Conjuring.

The upcoming horror movie is based on one of England’s most notorious haunted house cases: the Enfield Poltergeist, often referred to as England's Amityville. The Warrens investigated the haunted council home in Brimsdown village in the borough of Enfield in the late 1970s when the supernatural phenomena was reported by single mum Peggy Hogdson (played by Frances O’Connor here).

The alleged hauntings centered around the two eldest daughters of the family, 13-year old Margaret (Lauren Esposito) and 11-year old Janet (Madison Wolfe) -- with the focus on Janet, as seen in the clips and BTS footage below. Check it out:

The supernatural thriller brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.

The Conjuring 2 also stars Patrick McAuley, Benjamin Haigh, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Simon Delaney, Franka Potente and Simon McBurney and will open in theaters on June 10.
