Looks like the identity of Mads Mikkelsen’s Doctor Strange villain has been revealed

Looks like the identity of Mads Mikkelsen’s mysterious Doctor Strange villain may have been revealed thanks to – what else? – a toy set.

Now, what follows below are SPOILERS, so be aware of that before you dig in any further.

Right. On with the show.

According to a report over at Heroic Hollywood, Mikkelsen will be playing Kaecilius. In the Marvel comics, Kaecilius is a disciple of Baron Mordo, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor in the movie. He tried to help Baron Mordo kidnap the Ancient One, but the attempt was foiled by Stephen Strange. Seems like Latino Review originally reported that Kaecilius would be the main villain of the comic book movie late last year, but Marvel has kept mum on Mikkelsen’s role ever since the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story actor was cast.

The only bit of intriguing info we got of the character was when Mikkelsen recently said that his Doctor Strange character was “Not really a baddie, but someone who believes in something else than what Doctor Strange believes in.”

As you’ll see below, the toys will be sold in pairs, and it’s interesting to note that Kaecilius will be sold with Baron Mordo. Here’s an image and a description for the Doctor Strange toys:
