Spider-Man gets a new suit and saves NYC in first trailer for Marvel's new PS4 game

Peter Parker’s alter ego is already making a comeback in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the wall-crawler is about to headline his own blockbuster video game.

As part of Sony’s E3 presentation, Marvel revealed a first look at a brand-new Spider-Man video game coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4. Developed by Insomniac Games, the visuals and mechanics look absolutely fantastic. If you’ve ever wanted to truly live out a Spider-Man movie, they almost have it figured out. From webbing bank robbers during a high speed chase to going slo-mo Spidey sense while webbing off a crane in glorious explosive chaos, it’s all here and looking fantastic.

Here’s what Bill Rosemann, with Marvel Games, had to say about the project:

“Because when Stan Lee and Steve Ditko created Peter Parker, they broke the mold of what a Super Hero could be and set the bar by which all others would be judged. And that’s exactly what we plan to do with this game: break the mold and set a new bar of greatness for Marvel Games!”

Oh, and Spidey also has an interesting new suit (as you certainly already noticed) in this game, with a larger white spider design in the center. It’s a bit jarring at first but starts to grow on you fairly quick. Now we just need that Miles Morales suit upgrade …
