TV THIS WEEK: The Powerpuff Girls return, Sleepy Hollow's finale, and more!

We're beginning to enter the spring transition phase of TV, when some of our shows start to leave us and new midseason offerings show up. This week, the new shows include the Powerpuff Girls reboot and the return of Outlander, while the departing shows include Shadowhunters and Sleepy Hollow. Oh, and Fear the Walking Dead is back to keep feeding your zombie addiction.

Check out the week in TV below. What's on your watchlist?

The Powerpuff Girls (TOON) Monday, 6 p.m. - "Escape from Monster Island"

Week-long series premiere! - We've been hearing about this for what seems like forever, and now it's finally real. The Powerpuff Girls are back, and Cartoon Network's celebrating the dawn of a new series with a full five days of new episodes. Sadly, the original cast isn't returning, but Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup are back in full force, and we'll definitely be seeing a fun mix of new threats and old foes. So spend your week going back to Townsville. Check out a preview below.

Shadowhunters (Freeform) Tuesday, 9 p.m. - "Morning Star"

Season finale! - The Mortal Instruments series of novels got a shot at the movies, and didn't make it, so fans were really hoping that its small-screen adaptation, Shadowhunters, would take off. So far they've gotten their wish. The show's been a hit for Freeform, and last month it got renewed for a second season, giving the series a chance to expand its story even more next year. We don't yet know exactly when Season 2 is arriving, but we do know that it's coming, and for many rabid fans of this mythos, that's good enough for now. Check out a preview below.

Sleepy Hollow (FOX) Friday, 8 p.m. - "Ragnarok"

Season finale! - As the new season dawned, FOX was fighting hard to remake Sleepy Hollow into something a little less serialized, in the hope that viewers would be more apt to stick around if the show focused less on season-long drama. The show's ratings didn't bear that out, and its move to Friday added even more fuel to speculation that it will be canceled. So far, the network hasn't officially made a decision on the future of the Ichabod Crane-led drama, but things don't look great. It's not doomed, but Sleepy Hollow is certainly in peril. Check out a preview for the finale, with all of humanity at stake, below.

Outlander (Starz) Saturday, 9 p.m. - "Through a Glass, Darkly"

Season premiere! - Starz's hit romantic drama returns for a second season this week after a very long wait for fans, and it's likely to gain momentum in its second year. Though its inciting incident is time travel, the series often relies more on historical tension for its main emotional punches, but that doesn't mean genre fans don't love it. Outlander fans are among the most rabid TV viewers around right now, and they'll have a chance to see their favorite show grow even more lavish as the show heads to Paris for Season 2. Check out a preview below.

Fear the Walking Dead (AMC) Sunday, 9 p.m. - "Monster"

Season premiere! - The Walking Dead has wrapped yet another season, so it's time for its spinoff to get a turn in the spotlight. Fear the Walking Dead might not have seemed like the best idea to zombie fans -- after all, what can a second zombie show give you that the first isn't already? -- but Fear the Walking Dead hasn't overstayed its welcome yet. The series was a massive hit for AMC with its first season, and it gave us a powerful new perspective on the apocalypse as we got to actually watch it unfold firsthand, something The Walking Dead didn't allow for. Now, the Fear characters are in for a new shot at survival on the water, but they'll no doubt find the threats don't go away when you leave dry land. Check out a preview below.
