Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 unleashes a second action-packed trailer

Paramount has released a second official trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

Not only is the new trailer action-packed, but it also features some cool new footage of our beloved Turtles -- Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo and Michelangelo -- as well as Megan Fox’s April O’Neil, Stephen Amell’s Casey Jones and iconic TMNT characters Bebop and Rocksteady. Here’s a detailed synopsis:

Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael return to cinemas this summer to battle bigger, badder villains, alongside April O’Neil (Megan Fox), Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett), and a newcomer: the hockey-masked vigilante Casey Jones (Stephen Amell). After supervillain Shredder escapes custody, he joins forces with mad scientist Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry) and two dimwitted henchmen, Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (WWE Superstar Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly), to unleash a diabolical plan to take over the world. As the Turtles prepare to take on Shredder and his new crew, they find themselves facing an even greater evil with similar intentions: the notorious Krang.

Whether you're a fan of 2014's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or not, you've got to admit this trailer makes it look like the sequel could be a whole lotta fun.

Also, from the looks of things, some of our Heroes in a Half-Shell are going to be tempted to use that mutagen -- the one that turned Shredder’s two dimwitted henchmen into mutants -- on themselves in order to become human (and come out of the shadows), giving rise to some palpable tension within our core group of heroes.

Directed by Dave Green, the movie stars Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Stephen Amell, William Fichtner, Laura Linney, Tyler Perry, Sheamus, Gary Anthony Williams, Brittany Ishibashi and Brian Tee. Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek and Noel Fisher are back as Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo and Michelangelo.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will come out and play on June 3.
