Kevin Smith, Seth Green unite in first trailer for horror anthology Holidays

We seem to be enjoying a renaissance for anthology horror films these days, and the latest is built around the creepy theme of the holidays. Titled, you guessed it, Holidays.

The project aims to put a “uniquely dark and original spin” on the holidays we know and love. Needless to say, Christmas and Valentine’s Day have never looked so terrifying. The directors involved include Kevin Smith (Tusk), Scott Stewart (Dark Skies), Gary Shore (Dracula Untold), Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer (Starry Eyes), Sarah Adina Smith (The Midnight Swim), Nicholas McCarthy (The Pact) Adam Egypt Mortimer (Some Kind of Hate) and Anthony Scott Burns (Darknet).

The directors certainly look to be an interesting mix of talent, and Seth Green leads the smattering of cast members. The trailer itself includes several snippets from the various projects, though it’s hard to follow the actual plots. But the imagery is certainly unsettling enough to set the tone for the indie horror hit.

The film will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 14, with a global digital and VOD release April 15. A U.S. theatrical run kicks off April 22.
