SPOILERS FOR THE MIDSEASON PREMIERE, "NO WAY OUT," BELOW
You've been warned!
An international promo image has just revealed a huge spoiler for The Walking Dead when the show returns this coming Sunday on AMC.
The new promo pic (seemingly Russian) shows Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) with his eye covered and his face bandaged. In the Robert Kirkman comics, Carl loses his right eye and a portion his face in the “No Way Out” storyline, and miraculously survives.
Douglas Monroe, a comic-book character replaced by Deanna Monroe (Tovah Feldshuh) on the show, shot Carl by accident while being attacked by walkers inside the walls of Alexandria. It's a gruesome wound that's never really fully healed, but it looks like Carl's wound on the show, while no less horrible, will be slightly more subdued.

Comic-book fans knew this major plot point would be coming, but they were expecting it to happen in the midseason finale (as did I), with an armed and vengeful Ron (Austin Abrams) shooting Carl instead of Deanna.
From the promo image above, it looks like the Ron-Shooting-Carl theory may still come to pass when The Walking Dead returns with the eagerly anticipated “No Way Out” episode on Feb. 14.
