The first official trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is here!

If you’ve ever wanted to play a video game where you could be Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Chewbacca, BB-8 (the cutest droid in the history of droids ever), Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma or even General Hux, now’s your chance.

Thanks to last night’s leaks, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Lucasfilm have officially announced the upcoming release of LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens and unleashed the first trailer for the LEGO game set in a galaxy far, far away.

You’ll not only be able to play as these new iconic Star Wars characters in various movie locales, including Jakku and Starkiller Base, but the upcoming game will also feature new content that'll bridge the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. How cool is that?

The gift that keeps on giving doesn't stop there, because LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will also feature some new gameplay mechanics. The first one is Multi-Builds, in which players will be able to use “available LEGO bricks to open up new paths, then break them apart and re-build them again to open up another.” The second is Blaster Battles, in which the players can use their surroundings as cover.

However, enemies will also be able to build “allowing stormtroopers to support each other with reinforcements, air strikes, and heavy artillery, adding another layer of danger to the game.” Uh-oh. But hey, who doesn't love a challenge?

(I don’t know about you guys, but those LEGO trailers just crack me up every. single. time.)

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is being developed by TT Games (the company behind all those awesome LEGO video games) and will be made available on a variety of gaming platforms, including PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 (along with exclusive DLC), PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, the Nintendo 3DS family of systems and Windows PC on June 28.

Will this one be a must-buy for you?
