Here's who Jenna Malone and Scoot McNairy are playing in Batman v Superman

After plenty of speculation as to whom Jena Malone and Scoot McNairy were playing on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a magazine scan may have just revealed the answer to all our questions.

A French magazine has seemingly confirmed the identities of the DC Comics characters played by Malone, McNairy and Callan Mulvey in Zack Snyder’s upcoming superhero movie. Of course, this is not official OFFICIAL, but if this is legit (and I personally think it is), the mag has managed to drop quite a few spoilers.

Now, it was rumored that Malone would be playing Batman’s sidekick Robin, Carrie Kelly, before the buzz shifted to her actually playing Barbara Gordon/Batgirl. And from the looks of things, Malone is indeed playing Batgirl! However, whether Jenna Malone will actually suit up as Batgirl in the comic-book movie remains to be seen. It also looks like her character will have more than a cameo appearance.

As for McNairy, seems like the actor has just been confirmed as Jimmy Olsen, Clark Kent's (Henry Cavill) Daily Planet photographer sidekick, while Mulvey is playing Anatoli Knyazev, aka KGBeast, a DC supervillain who first appeared in the pages of Batman #417 back in 1988. Check it out:

Here's a detailed synopsis for Batman v Superman:

Following his titanic struggle against General Zod, Metropolis has been razed to the ground and Superman is the most controversial figure in the world. While for many he is still an emblem of hope, a growing number of people consider him a threat to humanity, seeking justice for the chaos he has brought to Earth.

As far as Bruce Wayne is concerned, Superman is clearly a danger to society. He fears for the future of the world with such a reckless power left ungoverned, and so he dons his mask and cape to right Superman’s wrongs. The rivalry between them is furious, fueled by bitterness and vengeance, and nothing can dissuade them from waging this war. However, a dark new threat arises in the form of a third man: one who has a power greater than either of them to endanger the world and cause total destruction.

Starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will blast into theaters on March 25.
