New Zealand’s Weta Workshop is the special effects studio behind movies like Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Warcraft, and the new Thunderbirds. (Don’t even try to tell us that the Kahleesi in your life wouldn’t want her own set of dragon eggs.) Comixology

Digital comics giant Comixology is offering big discounts on recent issues and many older titles. DC Comics titles (including the Rebirth #1s and one-shots) are buy one, get one free with code DC16.  You can score upwards of 70 percent off Marvel first issues and collected editions of new Marvel series that launched in 2015 and 2016. They also have more than 150 Image trades on sale for up to 64 percent off, including perennial fave Saga. While those deals end today, you have until December 1 to snap up any Dynamite title line-wide that was released before November 2016 for 60 percent off with code DYNAMITE16.

DC Comics

DC is also offering their own deals on their digital comics site (which uses Comixology’s delivery system). All Rebirth #1s and one-shots are buy one, get one free, and you can use offer code DC16 to get discounts throughout the DC and Vertigo lines on digital single issues, collected editions, and graphic novels, including Grant Morrison’s best-selling Wonder Woman: Earth One. There’s no limit to the number of items on which the promo code can be used.

Dark Horse Comics

From Black Friday through Cyber Monday, all single digital issues are 99 cents, and all digital art books are just $9.99. Starting today, Dark Horse is offering deals up to 85 percent off megabundles: All digital issues of Harrow County 1 to 17 for $8.99, all 40 Halo titles for $16.99, four big He-Man digital trades for $29.99, Dark Horse’s entire Aliens library (more than 120 titles) for $69.99, their entire Conan library (290 titles) for $199.99, and the entire Mignolaverse (440 titles) for $369.99.

VIZ Media

Manga publisher VIZ Media is dropping the prices on 10 separate titles — all great entry points for newcomers to manga — down to a flat $3.99.
