Legendary artist Neal Adams draws Emerald Archer sketch for Arrow's season premiere

Neal Adams is one of the true living legends of the comic book universe and an artist whose pioneering work in the late '60s and early '70s sent aftershocks through the industry that are still being emulated and absorbed to this day.  From Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman to Green Lantern, Green Arrow and the X-Men, Adams has provided tens of thousands of dynamic pages over the decades, punctuated by his signature fluid, athletic style. I've had the pleasure of interviewing Adams on several occasions, and he's always good for a few salty tales of the comic book world's evolution and its assorted "colorful" personalities. If the opportunity arises this week at New York Comic Con to meet the man, I highly recommend you stop by his booth.

Capitalizing on his notoriety and familiarity with Green Arrow (Adams redesigned the character's costume in 1969), the creators and producers of The CW's Arrow approached Adams to provide them with a police sketch of Oliver Queen for the upcoming season premiere, and the gracious New Yorker obliged them with this awesome art below.  Have a look at the infamous Emerald Archer a la Neal Adams and tell us if you're aiming to watch when the season premiere of Arrow launches Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
