Following the massive success of last year’s Emmy-nominated Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 web series, AMC has announced they're giving us even more zombies with a brand-new storyline set in the world of Fear the Walking Dead.
Titled Fear the Walking Dead: Passage, the new web series will boast 16 webisodes that’ll be less than one-minute-long each. AMC has already released the first entry on its website but to make it easier for you guys, I've included it below. The network will air each and every episode during the commercial breaks for The Walking Dead, which kicks off its hotly anticipated seventh season this coming Sunday. I don't know about you, but I'm so not ready to see who'll get the bat (I literally mean that. One of our survivors is going to "meet" Negan's bat Lucille and die a horrible, horrible death) when the show returns after a harrowing six months hiatus.
So what’s the gist of the story for Fear the Walking Dead: Passage? Here’s a synopsis:
The second season of webisodes follows a fearsome survivor, Sierra (Kelsey Scott), who agrees to help an injured woman, Gabi (Mishel Prada), in exchange for an apocalyptic sanctuary. Over the course of their harrowing journey, the women go on to face many dangers and learn what they need to survive.
Fear the Walking Dead showrunner Dave Erickson is also directing the new series penned by Lauren Signorino and Mike Zunic, both of whom worked on Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462. Erickson will produce alongside Andrew Bernstein while Signorino and Zunic will act as consulting producers. Take a look at the first webisode for Fear the Walking Dead: Passage, and let us know what you think.
