While the Log Lady won't be headed home for the new Twin Peaks revival series airing on Showtime next year (Catherine Coulson died in 2015), a great number of the old gang will be back together when David Lynch stages a major TV comeback to that crazy lumber town in the Pacific Northwest. Showtime just released a behind-the-scenes peek at Twin Peaks with members of the original cast Kyle MacLachlan, Miguel Ferrer, Kimmy Robertson, Harry Goaz, Dana Ashbrook and James Marshall offering their thoughts and memories of the unsettling show that created a feverish fanbase when it first aired on ABC from 1990-1991. This Twin Peaks primer also includes new cast members Jim Belushi, Amy Shiels, Robert Knepper and Chrysta Bell chiming in with subtle hints of what surprises viewers might expect from the twisted mind of Lynch.
The relaunched series is set 25 years after the bizarre and mysterious death of Laura Palmer and offers up a huge array of guest stars, like Ghostbusters' Ernie Hudson, The X-Files' David Duchovny, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor, The Deer Hunter's John Savage and Pearl Jam grunge rocker Eddie Vedder.
Showtime's Twin Peaks will roll out in early 2017 across mutiple digital platforms as well as its standard on-air pay cable release and is written and produced by series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost, with all episodes being directed by Lynch.
Grab a slice of cherry pie and good cup of joe and join the Twin Peaks cast in this revealing glimpse ahead to one of next year's most anticipated geek events.
