TV This Week: Rocky Horror Picture Show, Legends meet the Justice Society, and Walking Dead returns

Welcome to TV This Week! Your one-stop shop for all the cool sci-fi and fantasy stuff you should be watching over the next seven days!

The new season is in full swing, so we’re pretty light on premieres this week — but the ones we have are worth the wait. The Walking Dead finally returns to resolve the cliffhanger over who Negan killed, and BBC America’s Dirk Gently series also premieres. The CW’s line-up is stacked with fun stuff. The Legends meet up with the Justice Society of America, and a new (familiar) speedster shows up on Flash. Over on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Ghost Rider saga continues.


Supergirl (The CW), Monday 8 p.m. - “The Last Children of Krypton”

Supergirl is seriously injured during an attack on National City by a kryptonite-powered villain. Superman is still hanging around and puts the blame on Hank, because the kryptonite was stolen from the DEO. Meanwhile, Kara's first day at her new job doesn't go as planned after she meets her new boss, Snapper Carr.


DC's Legends of Tomorrow (The CW), Thursday, 8 p.m. - “The Justice Society of America”

The Legends travel to Nazi-occupied Paris and are surrounded by the Justice Society of America. They discover a time aberration that threatens the JSA, but the JSA doesn't want their help. Meanwhile, Nate tries to prove he should be part of the team.


The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again (Fox), Thursday, 7 p.m.

A reimagining of the 1975 cult-classic film that follows a young couple as they find themselves in the middle of a strange convention hosted by Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a sexually-ambiguous mad scientist who is debuting the birth a creation at the event.

SERIES PREMIERE: Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (BBC America), Saturday, 9 p.m. -“Horizons”

Eccentric self-proclaimed detective Dirk Gently investigates the death of an isolated millionaire and inadvertently teams up with struggling musician Todd Brotzman to do so.


SEASON PREMIERE: The Walking Dead (AMC), Sunday, 8 p.m. - “The Day Will Come When You Won't Be”

In the seventh-season premiere, Negan's actions will haunt the surviving members of Rick's group forever.


Gotham (Fox), Monday 8 p.m. - “Mad City: Anything for You”

As crime in Gotham reaches an all-time high, Penguin strives to uphold his promises to the city as the new mayor; Butch travels down a dark path with the Red Hood Gang; and Bruce investigates Ivy's whereabouts.


Milo Murphy's Law (Disney XD), Monday 8 p.m. - “The Doctor Zone Files; The Note”

Sara wants to see the "Doctor Zone Files" movie with Milo but worries about potential problems; Milo and the gang spend a day chasing after his doctor's note that excuses an entire semester of absences, illness and shenanigans caused by Murphy's Law.

Supergirl (The CW), Monday 8 p.m. - “The Last Children of Krypton”

The Big Bang Theory (CBS), Monday 8 p.m. - “The Hot Tub Contamination”

Amy and Sheldon's live-in relationship may already be over after he accuses her of not following the bathroom schedule. Meanwhile, Howard and Bernadette's secret stay-cation is interrupted by folks sneaking into their hot tub.

Lucifer (Fox), Monday 9 p.m. - “Lady Parts”

Chloe and Lucifer investigate when the bodies of two young L.A. transplants are found poisoned. Later, Maze convincing Chloe to join her for drinks, which the detective believes to be an act of friendship, is actually a bet between Maze and Lucifer.


Scorpion (CBS), Monday 10 p.m., “Little Boy Lost”

The team searches for a boy from Ralph's class who encountered a deadly criminal after going missing from a field trip. Meanwhile, Toby gets closer to uncovering the identity of Happy's husband.

Timeless (NBC), Monday 10 p.m. - “Atomic City”

The trio go on the run with an infamous mistress when they land in 1962 Las Vegas. Also, Rufus meets his past mentor; Wyatt tries to alter history for himself; and Flynn may be gambling with far more human life than originally thought.


The Flash (The CW), Tuesday 8 p.m. - “Magenta”

Magenta, a new metahuman who can control metal, terrorizes the city. Meanwhile, Barry and Team Flash reunite with Earth-2 Wells and Jesse, who has the powers of a speedster, but Wells is concerned about her safety and wants her to stop using her powers.


Channel Zero: Candle Cove (Syfy), Tuesday 9 p.m. - “I'll Hold Your Hand”

Marla agrees to help Mike investigate the murders in the wake of what happened to Katie. Soon after, she uncovers a horrifying secret related to what happened in 1988.


Scream: The TV Series (MTV), Tuesday 9 p.m. - “Halloween Special”

Eight months after Kieran's arrest, Emma struggles to focus on her future; Noah and Stavo have teamed up on a best-selling graphic novel based on the murders; and Audrey is in a new relationship.

Scream Queens (Fox), Tuesday, 9 p.m. - “Halloween Blues”

The Green Meanie's latest attack shocks everyone, so Dean Munsch, Denise and Hester plan to catch the killer by throwing a Halloween party in the hospital. Meanwhile, Chanel attempts to contact the killer's latest victim from beyond the grave. Back at the party, another outbreak puts the hospital on alert and Brock and Cassidy jump into action, while another victim falls.

Aftermath (Syfy), Tuesday 10 p.m. - “Fever of the Bone”

A horde of vicious feverheads and flesh-eating parasites trap the Copelands at a plague isolation unit.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Tuesday 10 p.m. - “Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire”

S.H.I.E.L.D. has an explosive confrontation with Ghost Rider; Coulson and Mack rely on an unlikely ally in a time of need; and Daisy gets help from a familiar face to thwart the Watchdogs.


Arrow (The CW), Wednesday, 8 p.m. - “A Matter of Trust”

Green Arrow is forced to battle new drug dealer Garret Runnels, who is terrorizing Star City, after Wild Dog strikes out on his own to take the dealer down but quickly learns he's not up to the task.


Blindspot (NBC), Wednesday, 8 p.m. - “Her Spy's Mind”

A fugitive whistle-blower is sought by Weller and Nas in Bulgaria. Meanwhile, Jane joins Roman for a Sandstorm mission; and Reade and Zapata tend to a pressing matter.

Frequency (The CW), Wednesday, 9 p.m. - “The Near Far Problem”

Raimy informs Frank of new information she uncovered in the Thomas Goff case, prompting him to take action in spite of Satch's warnings. Meanwhile, Gordo and Raimy go out for drinks, where they have a strange encounter with Daniel; and Raimy struggles to adapt to life without Julie.


Ghost Hunters (Syfy), Wednesday, 9 p.m. - “Dudley Dead Wright”

A homeowner worries that evil entities could threaten her family because her property borders what was once a cursed 1740s village. Also: A restaurant and nearby house seem to be linked by spirits.

American Horror Story: 6 (FX), Wednesday, 10 p.m. - “Chapter 6”

Paranormal Witness (Syfy), Wednesday, 10 p.m. - “The Mojave Encounter”

A hypnotist works with a couple who have limited memory of the night they claim they were abducted by aliens while camping in the desert.

Falling Water (USA), Thursday, 10 p.m. - “Calling the Vasty Deep”

Burton questions whether the Woman in Red exists beyond his dreams; Tess learns how to navigate into others' dreams; and Taka connects the group suicide to unexpected sources.


MacGyver (CBS), Friday, 9 p.m. - “Toothpick”

MacGyver has to fix a sabotaged train to protect a whistleblower who can prove her boss is selling weapons to enemies of the United States.

The Vampire Diaries (The CW), Friday, 9 p.m. - “Hello, Brother”

Season 8 begins with Stefan searching for Damon and Enzo after they mysteriously vanished months ago from the Armory vault. Meanwhile, Caroline and Alaric fear that someone is targeting their family after they encounter an unexpected visitor.

Z Nation (Syfy), Friday, 10 p.m. - “Doc Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest”

The residents of a mental hospital capture Doc in hopes that he'll help them escape.


The Exorcist (Fox), Friday, 10 p.m. - “Chapter Five: Through My Most Grievous Fault”

The exorcism begins, but the Demon counter attacks with secrets of its own. Elsewhere: the demon's manipulations cause conflict within the Rance family.


Van Helsing (Syfy), Friday, 11 p.m. - “Nothing Matters”

Mutated feral vampires chase Vanessa and Susan through the sewers; at the same time, a hostile takeover of the hospital is underway.


Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man vs. the Sinister 6 (Disney XD), Saturday, 8 p.m. - “The Spider Slayers - Part 3”

The ambitious Spider-Man series continues with the third installment of Spider Slayers.

Star Wars Rebels (Disney XD), Saturday, 8:30 p.m. - “The Last Battle”

On a salvage mission led by Captain Rex, the Ghost crew is captured by a unit of old battle droids determined to fight one last battle to end the clone wars.

Zak and the crew investigate the Sacramento boarding home once ran by the late serial killer Dorothea Puente. While there, they come across potential evidence of undiscovered victims; and Zak is crippled by an unseen force.

Good Witch: Secrets of Grey House (Hallmark), Saturday, 9 p.m.

An author stays at Grey House and holds a launch party for her new novel in Middleton, where some real-life happenings begin to mirror her stories. Meanwhile, Cassie grows closer to Sam and helps the author and her editor acknowledge a budding romance.


Ash vs. Evil Dead (Starz), Sunday, 8 p.m. - “DUI”

Ash hunts for his beloved Delta, but the tide turns and he becomes the hunted; Ruby and Kelly battle the evil spawn. while Pablo is plagued by yet another Necronomicon condition.


Once Upon a Time (ABC), Sunday, 8 p.m. - “Street Rats”

The modern fantasy series continues.

Son of Zorn (Fox), Sunday, 8:30 p.m. - “A Taste of Zephyria”

Zorn tries to teach Alan about his culture after seeing how the media portrays Zephyria. Elsewhere: a talking garden gnome sparks conflict with Edie and her new neighbors.

The Walking Dead (AMC), Sunday, 8 p.m. - “The Day Will Come When You Won't Be”

The Last Man on Earth (Fox), Sunday, 9:30 p.m. - “Five Hoda Kotbs”

The group's road trip is marred by internal squabbles, but Gail might be the first to lose control.


The Strain (FX), Sunday, 10 p.m. - “Do or Die”

New York begins falling and Eph and Dutch try to finish their new device before the city gets overrun. Elsewhere: Justine, Gus, and Angel make a final stand against the virus.

Elementary (CBS), Sunday, 10:30 p.m. - “Render, and Then Seize Her”

Holmes learns a secret about Capt. Gregson's girlfriend when she hires him for a case she wants kept off of Gregson's radar. Meanwhile, Sherlock and Watson join the NYPD's search for an abducted woman.
