Lena Headey and Lily James face off in 2 new Pride and Prejudice and Zombies clips

The first two clips from Pride and Prejudice and Zombies have arrived. This reimaging of Jane Austen’s classic novel about the complicated relationships between lovers of different classes in Regency England is now even MOAR complicated by a full-on zombie outbreak.

The movie centers on the badass Bennet sisters: Elizabeth (Lily James), Lydia (Ellie Bamber), Mary (Millie Brady), Jane (Bella Heathcote) and Kitty (Suki Waterhouse), who are all trained in mad slaying skillz.

Elizabeth "Lizzy" Bennet is a feisty heroine who’s also a master of martial arts and weaponry, while Mr. Darcy (Sam Riley) is a trained zombie killer. The two must cast personal pride and social prejudices aside and unite to take down the zombie menace threatening 19th-century England, while discovering the depth of their feelings for one another. Awww.

Things get a tad more complicated in the first clip, when Darcy’s aunt, the menacing (we know that 'cause she’s wearing an eyepatch and wants to beat up our heroine) Lady Catherine de Bourgh (Lena Headey) tries to get Elizabeth to promise never to enter into an engagement (aka to hook up) with her nephew. To get her point across, she uses physical force, but Buffy Lizzy's no damsell in distress.

The second clip features a leather-clad (leather = serious bizness) Mr. Darcy trying to root out a foundation-wearing disguised zombie with the help of carrion flies, ending with a pretty neat slaying scene. Check them out!

Written and directed by Burr Steers, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is based on the book by Seth Grahame-Smith and will open in movie theaters on Feb. 5.
