Image of the Day: Here is Rob Liefeld's top choice to play X-Men mutant Cable

With rumors floating around that Cable could either appear in a possible Deadpool sequel, in the Gambit movie starring Channing Tatum as the Ragin' Cajun, or even in X-Men: Apocalypse, the character’s co-creator, Rob Liefeld, has shared an image of his personal pick for the time-traveling mutant.

So, who is Liefeld’s dream choice to play Nathan Summers?

It’s none other than Mad Men star Jon Hamm, who recently nabbed another Golden Globe for his role of chain-smoking, hard-drinking womanizer Don Draper.

In the pages of the Marvel Comics, Nathan Summers is the son of Scott Summers, aka Cyclops, and Madelyne Pryor (Jean Grey’s clone) who was born in the modern timeline but was sent to live in a far-flung future. He possesses telepathic and telekinetic powers and is crippled by his need to constantly curb a techno-organic infection on his left arm. He was also a member of the X-Men, X-Force and the New Mutants and a couple other Marvel organizations.

Here’s the pic Rob Liefeld shared on Twitter.

Do you agree with Rob Liefeld and think Jon Hamm would make a perfect Cable?
