The co-creators of Robot Chicken have released the first episode of Crackle's new stop-motion animated TV series, Supermansion, starring Bryan Cranston as Titanium Rex, a cranky, geriatric superhero trying to mentor a new legion of lazy crimefighters in the 21st century. Zeb Wells' and Matthew Senreich's Stoopid Buddy Stoodios offer up the 22-minute premiere segment, Groaner's Wild, with their low-rent gang of incompetent crusaders trying to co-habitate and band together to make the planet a better place.
Here's the official synopsis:
Titanium Rex (voiced by Bryan Cranston) is an aging super hero who has long been the head of the League of Freedom, a once-proud assembly of super heroes that isn’t what it used to be. The aging, irascible Titanium Rex finds himself playing mentor to a new crop of Millennial-aged heroes who have little interest in their noble profession. Much to Titanium Rex’s chagrin, they’re all thrown together to live in the SuperMansion, where the young super heroes learn how to harness their super powers and fight for justice, liberty … and the need to stay relevant to society. Join Titanium Rex and Black Saturn, Cooch, American Ranger, Brad and Robobot in their uproariously inappropriate adventures in SuperMansion, premiering this fall … only on Crackle.
Have a look and tell us if this crazy crop of superheroes is your cup of tea.
SuperMansion kicks off its 13-episode season on Crackle on Thursday, October 8th with a triple dose of stop-motion antics. Additional episodes will stream online weekly through December 13th. Besides Cranston, the vocal cast also includes Heidi Gardner (Cooch), Tucker Gilmore (Black Saturn), Keegan-Michael Key (American Ranger / Sgt. Agony), Tom Root (Brad), Matthew Senreich (Dr. Gizmo) and Zeb Wells (Robobot).
