SpaceX reveals cutting-edge Dragon Crew Capsule for private astronaut trips

Companies like SpaceX and Boeing have spent the past few years developing and testing the craft that will soon carry U.S. astronauts into space — and now we have a close-up tour of the latest model.

SpaceX has revealed a deep dive into the Crew Dragon, which will be among the first craft to start ferrying teams to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2017 (assuming everything goes as planned). As Popular Science notes, the ship is a bit cramped, admittedly, but there’s no denying SpaceX will have these folks flying in style. Basically it looks like a flying Apple Store, and this thing is positively sexy.

Check out a video walkthrough focusing on some of the design elements below, which includes several tight shots of the stunning aesthetics:

The private space firm has also released some new pics of the crew capsule. Find those below. The tech is bleeding edge, and looks like something pulled straight from a sci-fi flick (Oblivion, maybe?) Needless to say, I  really want one of these.

Welcome to the future, folks.
