Jay Garrick shows up and Zoom looms large in extended trailer for The Flash

The CW has dropped an extended trailer for The Flash's return, and it includes some fascinating new footage focused on the new additions to Central City.

The cut is essentially an extended version of a shorter teaser trailer dropped a few days ago, and includes some nice shots of Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) setting the stakes and dropping the bombshell that there are other universes out there. We also get some references to Earth-2 baddie Zoom (voiced by Tony Todd), and it seems he’ll be sending all kinds of trouble after Earth-1’s version of The Flash.

In a recent chat with Entertainment Weekly, producer Andrew Kreisberg said where Reverse Flash was “like a warrior” last year, they wanted Zoom to be something “more akin to a monster.” He promised that Zoom will “look like a demon” when he’s finally revealed, dropping descriptors like “really scary” and “horrific.” Even better, he made an homage to H.R. Giger’s iconic monster designs. We seriously cannot wait to see this thing.
