It all comes to an end in first trailer for Continuum's final season

One of the best shows you’re probably not watching is coming to an end this fall, and here’s our first peek at the epic conclusion.

The fourth and final season of Continuum debuts this September on Syfy (Corporate owner of Blastr -Ed.), and though it’s taken a while to get here, we finally have the first footage from the final season. The series, which focuses on a cop sent back in time to stop terrorists aiming to change the past, has grown into so much more over the past three seasons.

It’s taken that elevator pitch and built a deep mythology where the bad guys aren’t so bad and the good guy might actually be fighting for the wrong side. It’s given us one of the best time-travel portrayals we’ve seen on television since Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and put together one of the gutsiest cliffhangers in years. Series creator Simon Barry will have just six episodes to wrap it up, and we sincerely hope he’s up to the task.

The first teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much, though it seems those soldiers who showed up at the end of Season 4 will play a key role in the series’ ending. It also seems Kiera (Rachel Nichols) will be working even closer with the time-traveling members of Liber8 in an effort to create a new future they can all be proud of.
