Here's a hypnotic new animated video of New Horizons' entire Pluto fly-by

With no new Pluto system images released from the New Horizons spacecraft while it downlinks mostly technical and instrumental data during August, here's a dizzying dose of the historic July 14 fly-by in case you needed a quick refresher on just how incredible it was.  Icelandic imaging magician Björn Jónsson concocted this wondrous animated visualization from NASA images, and it truly captures the awe and excitement of the remarkably successful mission..

Hold your breath as we make a soaring sweep of Pluto and its largest moon, Charon, then zoom past and take a bittersweet look back at the frozen dwarf planet's nightside.   Next month a new dump of data will reveal even more fascinating close-up images that should blow your mind all over again.  'Til then, strap in and enjoy the ride!
