Image of the Day: Bryan Singer reveals X-Men Apocalypse's massive Egyptian set

Bryan Singer took another one of his cool snaps straight from the set of X-Men: Apocalypse, proving not everything will be a CGI-fest on the director's upcoming mutant-filled opus.

The Instagram pic shows Singer staring up at a giant-sized statue of the Egyptian god of the afterlife, Anubis, on what looks to be a massive practical set. As we all know, the villain of the movie is En Sabah Nur, the mutant otherwise known as Apocalypse (Ex Machina and Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Oscar Isaac). Apocalypse’s history stretches back to ancient Egypt, and it’s clear from the set pic that we’ll explore the nefarious villain’s origin story. Could this be his tomb? Check it out!
