Rumor of the Day: Here’s who’s playing Robin in Batman v Superman

We’ve already glimpsed a peek at the dearly departed Robin’s suit in the extended trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and now we know who might be playing Batfleck’s former sidekick.

Turns out it could be an actor very close to Zack Snyder. According to Heroic Hollywood, Snyder’s teenage son, Eli, will apparently be rocking that Robin suit during the character’s (apparently) brief appearance during a flashback. We’re also assuming that Robin will be Jason Todd, who met a similar fate at the hands of the Joker in the comic canon. Take it with a grain of salt at the moment, but it certainly makes sense.

So, who the heck is Eli Snyder? An actor you’re probably already aware of. Remember the butt-kicking kid who played young Leonidas in 300? That was Eli. He was also young Rorschach in Watchmen. Snyder has a penchant for putting his kiddo in memorable cameos, so it makes sense young Robin would be an obvious fit. Now Eli is almost grown up (perfect age for Robin) and is already committed to attend UCLA as a highly-touted quarterback recruit. You know, just in case the acting career doesn’t take off.

Check out a shot of Eli below:
