We're just days away from the start of San Diego Comic-Con, and because Marvel Studios isn't really making a big push this year, all comic-book movie fan eyes are on Warner Bros. and their Hall H panel. We're expecting to get some new light shed on the studio's future DC Comics-based properties, of course, but the most exciting element of the event could be the likely unveiling of new footage from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The upcoming film, which will put DC's Superman-Batman-Wonder Woman "trinity" on the big screen together for the first time, has drawn more than its fair share of skepticism already, but that doesn't make it less of an event.
Because the Comic-Con Warner Bros. event is expected to be so big, we weren't really expecting to hear or see much from the film until then, but it turns out we were wrong. Entertainment Weekly just rolled out its annual Comic-Con special issue, and with it came half a dozen new images from the film. Some of them draw heavily on what we saw in the first trailer, including Batman standing in the rain by his Bat-signal and the two heroes squaring off for a showdown, but others are brand new, including a shot of Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) flirting (while, of course, being aware that secret identities are at work) at a fancy-dress affair, and a new shot of Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) sporting a rather luxurious mane of hair (don't worry, EW assures us he will be bald in the film, too).
Check out the images in the gallery below, and look out for even more Batman v Superman goodies when Warner Bros. hits Comic-Con next week.
