DC's Suicide Squad blasts into Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con

Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Films brought their A-game to Hall H at Comic-Con on Saturday, and kicked things off with a (relatively) new addition and some surprise appearances.

First up was Suicide Squad, with moderator Aisha Tyler and director David Ayer introducing a sizzle reel that showed off the entire impressive cast, with an emphasis on Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and Deadshot (Will Smith). Smith looks tough and serious in the role, while Robbie is as flirty, crazy and dangerous as you would expect. We didn't hear much from the rest of the crew (Enchantress, Diablo, Slipknot, Captain Boomerang, etc.) but we got an eyeful of their gritty costumes and the epic action-thriller vibe of the movie.

The footage opened with Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) at dinner with military officers and explaining her goals to bring together the worst of the worst, before getting into various shots of the team members in action. The footage concluded with a shot of a shirtless Joker (Jared Leto) -- yes, with those tattoos and that grill -- leering into the camera and saying, "I'm not gonna kill you...but I am gonna hurt you real bad."

Tyler then brought out the entire cast (except for Leto) to wave to the crowd, although there was no time for questions. But Will Smith told the audience that David Ayer is making the movie that they want to see, echoing Ayer's own words from earlier: "You guys run this s**t, you know what you want and you're gonna get it."
