Assassin's Creed Syndicate Senior Producer François Pelland and Game Director Scott Phillips played a live demo at E3, where they showed off more of the videogame’s in-play cinematics, as well as some awesome gameplay footage. The video comes hot on the heels of the new cinematic trailer released a few days ago.
The 10-minute video showcases the game’s open-world environment, taking us for a stroll in one of 1868 London’s boroughs by using one of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s two playable characters, Jacob Frye (the other is his twin sister Evie). We also get a dizzying chase sequence with Jacob driving a horse-drawn carriage, and some brand-new rope-launcher action. The game also introduces us to one of the game's villains: Bloody Nora. I don't know about you, but the whole thing is giving me a strong Gangs of New York vibe. Check it out:
In Assassin’s Creed Syndicate you’ll play as Jacob Frye, an assassin born and bred poised to take over the criminal underworld of London during the Industrial Revolution. Amidst blossoming conflicts between newly crowned kings of industry and the working class they exploit for all they’re worth, Jacob will work in the shadows as he climbs to the top of the criminal underground as the head of one of the city’s most notorious street gangs.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate will be released worldwide on PS4 and Xbox One on Oct. 23. What do you make of Ubisoft’s upcoming entry into its hit Assassin's Creed videogame franchise so far?
