A crash-landed UFO has been spotted on the set of The X-Files

The truth is out there on the set of The X-Files event series, currently being filmed in and around Vancouver, British Columbia.

Pics of a crash-landed UFO set built in Ashcroft have recently surfaced online, telling me there’s an alien invasion in the works. The pics were published on Facebook a few days ago, but have just come to my attention.

The Vancouver Sun reports that while David Duchovny (Agent Fox Mulder) and Gillian Anderson (Agent Dana Scully) were spotted filming scenes in Vancouver, a second unit was hard at work shooting night scenes involving the UFO. They believe that the set will stand in for Roswell, N.M., which is a huge part of the X-Files mythology (with aliens supposedly crash-landing there in real life in 1947).

When the cult sci-fi series ended back in 2002, a major plotline was left unresolved. Mulder learned the truth about a massive alien invasion that was set to happen on Dec. 22, 2012. Will Chris Carter finally address and resolve this loose end in the upcoming mini-series? Check out the set pics:

SPOILER ALERT: The truth is out there... or I should say in Ashcroft! That's a crash landed UFO set being built for the reboot of X-Files. I want to believe!
