The Inhumans are officially introduced in new clip from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Up to this point, the people given powers by the Terrigen Mist have not had an official name in the Marvel Cinematic Universe -- but all that changes Tuesday night.

A new clip from the latest episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., "Scars," has been released and features Skye (Chloe Bennett) trying to explain the mysterious group of powered people she’s been hanging out with in recent weeks. The scene finds Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Agent May (Ming-Na Wen) questioning Skye about the group, as she reveals they do have a name. Not surprisingly, the moniker should be very familiar to Marvel fans.

It was already obvious Marvel was using S.H.I.E.L.D. to lay some groundwork for the upcoming Inhumans film set for release in 2019, and it seems this new faction will play a role in the MCU long before they get their official big-screen debut. This arc has been one of the most compelling concepts introduced in the series, and it’s nice to see Marvel doling out some of the good stuff on the small screen. Here’s hoping the show’s creative growth continues as the second season winds to a close.
