Image of the Day: Francesco Francavilla's frightful Jurassic Park poster

Mondo is heading back to Isla Nublar for its all-star salute to Steven Spielberg's dino-sensation Jurassic Park, with a new gallery show called "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth," featuring dozens of artistic interpretations of the 1993 film and the upcoming sequel, Jurassic World.

Check out this sneak preview of Francesco Francavilla's submission to the exhibition, which runs June 12-27 at the Alamo Drafthouse's Mondo Gallery in Austin to coincide with the thunderous release of Jurassic World, starring Chris Pratt and Julianne Moore.  Francavilla is a popular cover artist on titles like Afterlife With Archie, Dark Shadows and The Black Beetle, and his unmistakable dramatic style shines on in this Jaws-inspired poster depicting the toothy T-rex prepared to devour the doomed island resort.  Have a look and tell us if it grabs you ...
